Our Law Enforcement training educates officers and 911 dispatchers to identify, effectively interact and connect persons in mental health crisis to community resources. Through collaboration with local agencies and police departments, we produce and distribute a quarterly mental health newsletter, Street Talk. Each May, MHA presents the John J. McAtee award to officers who have shown compassion and understanding when interacting with person in psychiatric crisis.
